Brewing the Perfect Tea
Brewing Instructions
White Tea
Heat water to point just
before it starts to boil. Add
the recommended amount of
tea and steep for no longer
than 2 minutes.
Green Tea
Heat water to point just
before it starts to boil. Add
the recommended amount of
tea and steep for approx.
1 to 3 minutes.
Black Tea
Heat water to a nice rolling
boil. Add the recommended
amount of tea and steep for  
approx. 3 to 5 minutes.
Tisanes/ Herbals
Heat water to boil point.
Add the recommended
amount of tisane and steep
for approx. 5 to 10 minutes.
Oolong Tea
Heat water to point just
before it starts to boil.
Allow water to rest or cool
for a few minutes. Add the
recommended amount of tea
and steep for approx.
3-5  minutes.
Special Note:
With high quality loose tea
leaves, the same leaves can
be used 2-3 times.

Oolong tea leaves are  
traditionally used up to
3 times.
Decaffeinating
Tea Naturally
The caffeine is released from
the tea leaf in the first
30 seconds.
In order to decaffeinate  
your cup or pot of tea,
simply start steeping as you
normally would, wait 30
seconds then pitch off the
water. Using the same
leaves add a second helping
of water and re-steep for
naturally decaffeinated tea
Rule of Thumb
Measurements:
1 cup = 1 tsp
1 pot = 1 tbs
*adjust to taste*

Blooming Tea
Heat water to point of
boiling. Allow water to rest
and stop bubbling. Add the
Blooming Tea Ball to the
water and steep for approx.
3-5  minutes.
Special Notes: Always add
tea ball to calm water!

scooped up with slotted
spoon (after steeping is
complete) and placed in one
of our beautiful Royal Tea

viewing pleasure!
